Anthony Elanga says he is ‘frustrated’ with his lack of game time under Erik ten Hag
Anthony Elanga of Manchester United has expressed his dissatisfaction with his lack of playing time under Erik ten Hag.
Elanga, a product of the club’s youth system, was a regular under previous manager ten Hag but has only appeared off the bench in the first half of the season.
The 20-year-old has only played 49 minutes of football since January and is said to be looking for other opportunities.
He was on the verge of joining Barcelona or Everton during the winter transfer window, but ten Hag appeared to be opposed to the move.
Elanga, who sat out Sweden’s 3-0 loss to Belgium on Friday night, is aware that he needs to be playing regularly for his club.
“It’s aggravating. It’s important that you play. “However, whether you play or not is entirely up to the coach, not me,” he told reporters.
“I spoke with Erik, and it is between the two of us.”
