Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty sentenced to house arrest for threatening Offset
Kenneth Petty, the husband of popular American rapper, Nicki Minaj, has been sentenced to 120 days of house arrest.
Petty was sentenced for violating the terms of his probation by posting videos that appeared to threaten Cardi B’s husband, Offset, on social media.
In a court order filed in the Central District of California on Wednesday, Petty was ordered to undertake home monitoring after he “was recorded making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record”.
Rapper Offset was mentioned as a specific individual in the order and the clips relate to a series of messages Petty aimed at the rapper that appeared on the internet on September 16th.
Petty and some of his entourage are seen in the viral video outside a New York City hotel where Offset was reportedly residing.
In his threatening comments, Petty says, “Plan that vacation, you’re gonna be planning your funeral pussy.”
Recall that Petty was convicted of first degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995, and spent four years in prison in New York.
In July 2022, he was also sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020.
