Niger legislators issue commissioner 48 hours to rehabilitate Minna-Bida road

Members of the Niger State House of Assembly, have issued the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure 48 hours to fix the Minna-Bida road, or risk a vote of no confidence from the House.

The lawmakers took the decision during plenary following a motion moved by Hon. Engr Mohammed Alhaji Haruna, under the Matters of Urgent Public Importance rule of the House, had called on the Executive arm of the government to expedite action on fixing the bad portions of the Minna/Bida road.

Hon Haruna disclosed to the house how he had to disguise himself to avoid being attacked by commuters that were stranded on the state over the weekend having noticed the frustrations and anger on their faces
