The lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume, on Tuesday warned that Nigerians would lose a lot of the country is divided.

The lawmaker stated this in a statement released to mark this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Ndume warned agitators in the country to stop their call for division and embrace things that would unite Nigeria as a country.

He also charged Nigerians to embrace unity and tolerance for each other.

“The diverse nature of the Nigerian people remains the main source of its strength and unity.

“We stand to lose a lot if we continue to feed on what will divide us rather than focus on what unites us as people.

“I, therefore, enjoin Nigerians to embrace the spirit of unity, tolerance for peaceful coexistence,” he said.
