Nigerians without NIN risks 14 years imprisonment – Isa Pantami

TRACKING____The Federal Government on Thursday disclosed that 51million Nigerians have registered for their National Identity Number, NIN.

Isa Pantami, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy made this public at the weekly State House Press Briefing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Pantami warned that Nigerians without NIN risked 14 years imprisonment as stipulated by the country’s constitution.

He also said that 189 million Subscriber Identification Modules, Sim, have been registered in the country out of which 150 million registrations have been completed.
