Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdurasheed Bawa, said an alumnus of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) will be appointed as EFCC pioneer Directorate of Intelligence.

Bawa made the announcement on Thursday at a meeting with the NISS leadership at the commission’s headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.

The chairman promised to work with the institute in the areas of mutual strength.

Bawa added that the EFCC would continue to receive people from institutions of learning.

He described the agency as the most cosmopolitan agency in Nigeria due to the board composition.

“We are going to create a Directorate of Intelligence, your alumni is going to be the pioneer Director of that Directorate.”

A. S. Adeleke, NISS Commandant, assured of the institute’s support on networking, due diligence, security and intelligence.

On EFCC’s Directorate of intelligence, he said: “We are here to partner with you in that direction. We can give you what you want”.
