This is as he added that the action of the Nigerian government will have no effect on Twitter as an organization or Jack who is the founder of the social media platform.
The IPOB leader argued that many Nigerians, particularly the youths will be negatively affected by the governmentâs action.
He stated this after the federal government on Friday banned the operations and activities of Twitter in Nigeria.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed in a statement said the government was forced to act because of âthe persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeriaâs corporate existenceâ.

Reacting to the action taken by the federal government barely 24 hours after Twitter deletaed the Presidentâs tweet, Kanu wrote: âSuspending @Twitter canât hurt @jack but will surely hurt millions of Nigerians, (mostly the YOUTH) that are on Twitter. Nigerian public & private sectors will also be hurt.â
âSo, Nigeria did not suspend Twitter. Nigeria suspended itself on Twitter & announced it on Twitter.â
