The family of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has reacted to the Court of Appeal ruling in Abuja.
Track News previously reported that the Federal Government’s charges against him were dismissed by the Court of Appeal on Thursday.
In their reaction to the verdict, the IPOB leader’s family expressed joy and gratitude to all who supported them, including the Federal Government.
Emma Kanu, the younger brother of IPOB leader, spoke with the Nigerian Tribune and praised the Appeal Court Judges for their decision.
Emma expressed hope that the Federal Government would follow the Appeal Court’s decision and release Kanu.
“The victory is for all of us,” he said, beaming with joy. I thank everyone, men and women, pastors, journalists, IPOB media warriors, those we know and those we don’t, from all over the world, especially the Appeal Court judges who handled the case, including those who have died.
“I also thank the Federal Government, which understood and, I am confident, will follow the Appeal Court’s decision.” This is a win-win situation.”
Ozekhome believes Nnamdi Kanu should be allowed to return home tomorrow.
Mike Ozekhome, counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has responded to the Court of Appeal’s decision.
While speaking on the ruling on Thursday evening, Ozekhome a (Senior Advocate of Nigeria) argued that Kanu should be released immediately following his discharge by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The senior leader stated on Channels TV that the IPOB leader should be released tomorrow for the country to be at peace.
