According to the party’s spokesman, Agbo Major, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) will announce its vice presidential candidate today (Thursday).
Major said on Thursday that the fast-growing party would reveal Rabiu Kwankwaso’s running mate later in the day ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
In a message forwarded to Track News, the NNPP spokesman stated that the party has begun uploading Form EC9 of all governorship and House of Assembly candidates on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, portal.
He urged Nigerians to disregard all insinuations made by miscreants.
“NNPP yesterday began uploading of Form EC9 of all guber and HoA candidates and would conclude it today Thur 14/7/22,” the statement said. The party’s vice presidential candidate would also be revealed later today. Please disregard any insinuations made by miscreants.”
There have been rumors that the former Kano State Governor chose Isaac Idahosa, senior pastor of God First Ministry, also known as Illumination Assembly, Lekki Light Centre (LLC), Ajah, Lagos.
The party, however, has not confirmed the claim.
