Manchester United defender, Lisandro Martinez, has named Argentina captain Lionel Messi as the best player in football history.

Martinez also heaped praises on Messi for leading Argentina to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year.

“He [Messi] had an amazing World Cup. What I saw of him, what he did on the pitch,” Martinez told Secta Deportiva.

“There is no comparison. He is the best player in the history of football.

“He’s staying as number 1 all these years. … He’s a true example.”
