Over 300,000 jobs would be created by the Federal Government through the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), the Minister of Transport, Mr Rotimi Amechi has said.

Amechi also the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organization made this known in Gusau on Sunday at the APC Presidential campaign.

He said this would be done when government begins the railway construction linking Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi states.

The minister said that the government would continue to provide meaningful ways that create job opportunities for the nation’s teeming unemployed youth so that they could contribute to nation building.

“What is critical for us now is to come out in our large number and vote, and in doing this, we should vote for APC so that it can continue with the good works.

“It is only this administration led by President Buhari that can save us from hunger and other threats that were caused by past administrations.

“If you notice, importation of rice and textiles among others have been stopped by the Federal Government while the ones produced by our indigenous companies have taken over,” he said.

Earlier in his speech, the state governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari noted that “Nigerians cannot but continue to adore the president who has always shown concern to the common man.”

The governor, while speaking on the unending crisis in the APC in the state said, “we remain hopeful and law abiding that our cases that are being handled by the court will soon be over and our candidates in the state will be allowed to participate in the election.”

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign team also met with the state’s Council of Chiefs where President Buhari assured that the government would continue to fight corruption and utilize recovered funds in the provision of infrastructure.
