••Demands for NCDMB to meet up with Content requisite obligations.
TRACKING___The National Leadership of Ogbia Brotherhood Youth Council (OBYC) Worldwide in Consonance with Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Kolo Creek Clan, Obhan Emeyal Youth Council (OYC) Shuts down the activities of Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Oil and Gas, owing to failure in compliance of content obligations.
Speaking to news men, the President of Ogbia Brotherhood Youth Council (OBYC) Worldwide Comr. Napuru Bassuo stated that since the inception of work in the NCDMB Oil and Gas Park site majority of the labour force of both skilled and unskilled has been in the occupancy of non indegines which is against the ethics of local content. Indigenous workers salaries are been shortchanged, moreso, NCDMB non-compliance with Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with host communities which has been a glaring issue.
Comr. Napuru Bassuo also added that countless number of times the Youth Council has issued notice on the various subject matters but the board has paid deaf ears, therefore, the resolution of shutting down of activities in the site has to be put in place for compliance.
The youths therefore demands for a gross employment of indegines, payment of the full accountable salaries of indeginous staffs, compliance of the already signed MOU with the host communities.
In the same vein the youths also called on NCDMB, SHELL, NDDC and other relevant agencies to come to their aid in fast tracking the rehabilitation of the Elebele passage bridge which has served as a major access point to various Ogbia communities.
