Okowa Loses Commissioner

TRACKING___Commissioner on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Joyce Overah, is dead.

Overah, who is representing Sapele, Okpe and Ethiope West Local Government Areas on the DESOPADEC board, died on yesterday afternoon in Sapele.
The deceased died from an undisclosed illness after two weeks.

Late Overah served as a member of the House of Representatives for Okpe, Sapele, Uvwie Federal Constituency,

LEADERSHIP gathered that the deceased in 2019 collapsed moments before his swearing-in as member of the current board of DESOPADEC by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

He was rushed out of the Event Centre, venue for the swearing-in in an ambulance.

He died in his late 50s and was survived by six children and an aged father.
