Ondo Approves Boreholes, Solar Lights For Rural Communities

At least 54 rural communities will benefit from the boreholes to be provided by the Ondo State government towards making water accessible and prevent the outbreak of disease in the state.
Towards this end, the government has approved 1,600 solar lights across the three senatorial districts as part of efforts to develop the grassroots, prevent accidents at night and prevent insecurity in rural communities.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement, Femi Denis Fadairo, said the government had also approved a contract for the reticulation of Owena Fam for the people of Ondo Central senatorial district.
Speaking at the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Fadairo said the government has taken stock of the needs of the people in order to provide social amenities for them.
