Ooni of Ife who received the former Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal star in his Palace at Ile Ife in Osun state stated that Kanu has touched the heart of God through Kanu Heart Foundation which has extended love to a lot of indigent poor people who otherwise would have died of their heart ailments.
“I’ve followed Kanu with keen interest, his lifestyle during his playing days and after retirement and what baffles me most is his ability to give back to the less privileged through his foundation,” Ooni of Ife remarked.
“That is the purpose of God bestowing wealth to people – in order to help the poor.”
The Ooni of Ife also added that the Kanu Heart Foundation has become a global brand that needs to be encouraged to do more.
