Osinbajo’s Surgery: “Speedy Recovery” – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended a wish of a speedy and full recovery after the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had undergone a successful surgery for leg fracture.

According to a statement seen through Buhari’s aide, Femi Adesina, the President on Saturday appreciated God for the success of the surgery and prayed for Osinbajo’s quick recovery.

The president recognized the medical team at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos State for “their competence and a job well done”..

Recall that Osinbajo in a post on his Twitter account on Saturday made it known that he was set for surgery.

TrackNews learnt that the Professor disclosed that the surgery was vital after experiencing pain in his leg.

Our Correspondent, Mr. Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed, says he maintained that he sustained a fracture in his while playing squash.

While being interviewed by TrackNews on the surgery, Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi, the Medical Director of the hospital, noted: “The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, was admitted to the Duchess International Hospital GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, today on account of a fracture of his right femur (thigh bone), possibly related to a longstanding injury associated with a game of squash.

“He had a surgical operation performed by a team of specialist doctors, including Dr Wallace Ogufere (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr Om Lahoti (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr Babajide Lawson (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon), Dr Ken Adegoke (Consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care), Dr Oladimeji Agbabiaka (Consultant Anaesthetist), and Dr Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi (Consultant Physician & Medical Director).

“The operation was successful, and he is expected to be discharged within the next few days.”
