The Minister of Transportation and Presidential hopeful under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Rotimi Amaechi took his consultation train to Lagos on Thursday where he had discussions with the Governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. During the conversation between the duo, Amaechi said,
“It’s a difficult thing to even come. You have to have the courage because we already know that our leader comes from Lagos state and you come from that family of our Leader and you know that our leader is eminently qualified to do this job, so you can understand that it’s like my son coming to me, that am a King, ‘Daddy, I want to take your position’. He’ll not find it funny.”
Many Nigerians have reacted to this visit by the Minister and agreed that Amaechi dares to visit Lagos State to canvas for the support of delegates toward the upcoming primary election in May. And that is what is needed for a presidential aspirant, Nigeria needs somebody with the clout of our forefathers. Somebody who will face the problems Nigeria is facing and surmount them. If it were some political aspirants, they won’t bother to visit Lagos State as they know it is a no-go area for them.
