The General Overseer of the Way of Salvation Church of Jesus Christ, Apostle Peter Tom Udofia, has come under intense criticism for marrying an 18-year-old chorister in his church.
A disappointed Christian, identified as Orhotohwo Nelson Emume, via Facebook shared photos from the wedding ceremony of the apostle and his teen wife.
She also questioned where the church of Christ is currently headed to.
Sharing the photos, she wrote; ”Apostle Udofia marries 18years old chorister as a second wife.
“As in how did this happen
“Second wife to a pastor with a wife already?
“How did we get here”
According to reports, the 63-year-old clergyman married Sister Blessing Jeremiah Esu in Ikot Akpang Ikpong, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
The ceremony took place on October 18, 2021.
One month after the wedding, it was gathered that the girl is just 18 and she was a chorister in his church when he married her.
