Sky Bet Championship club, Reading have announced that Ovie Ejaria has left the club by mutual consent.

Reading made the announcement on their official website.

“Reading Football Club can confirm that Ovie Ejaria has left the club by mutual consent and becomes a free agent,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

“The midfielder, who joined from Liverpool, after impressing during a season-long loan during the 2019-20 campaign, signed permanently with the Royals in the summer of 2020 – making 124 appearances in total and scoring 9 goals.

“Ejaria’s contract was due to expire after the end of this current season. However, with injury and fitness problems limiting first team action of late and a desire from the club to reduce its expenditure, an agreement was amicably reached for Ovie to leave the club early.

“We would like to thank Ovie for his contribution to Reading Football Club and wish him well for the rest of his career.”

The 26-year-old make 124 appearances for the Royals and scored nine times.
