PDP, Agbedi Heads To Appeal…

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Member Representing Sagbama-Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Hon. Fred Agbedi whose election was recently nullified by the Tribunal over a petition filed against his victory in the 2023 general elections by his closest rival, Hon. Michael Bless Olomu of The All Progressives Congress (APC), has appealed the judgment of the Tribunal seated in Yenagoa to be set aside.

TrackNews Reports via copies of the Appeal made available to Newsmen in Port Harcourt River’s State,today the 18th of September,2023, with SUIT NO: EPT/BY/HR/01/23.

The APPLICANTS (1) Hon. Fredrick Yeitimone Agbedi ( 2 ) People’s Democratic Party), challenging the judgment that favoured The RESPONDENTS (1) Michael Bless Olomu, (2) All Progressives Congress – APC) in pursuant to paragraph 10 of the Electoral Judiciary Proceedings joining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as third Respondent.

It will be recalled that the Tribunal sitting in Yenagoa on the 7th Day of September, 2023, in her Judgement, nullified INEC’s declaration of Hon. Fredrick Yeitimone Agbedi of PDP on a petition filed by Hon. Michael Bless Olomu of the APC and therefore ordered a re-run elections in five Wards and five Polling Units across the affected Federal Constituency which amounted to 26,000 votes within 90 days counting from the day of the judgment…
