The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Labour Party, LP ahead of the governorship election in Osun State on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Tinubu stated that the PDP and Labour Party will continue to collaborate until the end of time.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had scheduled the governorship election in Osun State for July 16.

Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, is seeking re-election for a second term, while Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party is the front-runner in the gubernatorial race.

Lasun Yusuf is the LP’s governorship candidate.

Tinubu, on the other hand, ruled out the possibility of the PDP and LP challenging the APC.

He referred to the PDP and LP as “mushroom parties” during the party’s mega rally.

He urged Osun residents to think about their future and vote APC.

Tinubu says, “I request that you do the same thing you did in Ekiti.” Bring your PVCs and cast your vote for the APC as a group.

“You have the right to vote now. Take extreme caution. Take care. You are not acting in vain.

“Think about your children and vote accordingly to see the future.” Show up in large groups. Don’t worry about the PDP or other mushroom parties like Labour; they’ll keep working until they die. God will not make you laborers.”

Meanwhile, as the Social Democratic Party joins forces with the Labour Party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, may be forced to join forces ahead of the governorship election in Benue State.

SDP State Chairman John Enemari announced the news to journalists in Makurdi, the state capital, on Monday, July 11, 2022.

According to the Chairman, the party’s leadership has directed its members to work with the Labour Party in the 2023 local government elections and the state’s 276 electoral wards.

The SDP chairman bemoaned the party’s national crisis, which had destabilized it in all of the federation’s states and resulted in party factions.

Heman Hembe, the state Labour Party governorship candidate, describes himself as a young man who can be trusted to govern the state.
