PDP Convention: Saraki, Atiku Divides Southeast Delegates
Ahead of today’s PDP presidential primaries holding today in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the aspirants have broken into the rank of the delegates with a view to winning their support.
While the aspirants are still in a crucial meeting at Presidential hotel, Port Harcourt, their aides and loyalists have broken into the rank of the 3,696 delegates that are to vote.
Feelers from happenings in and around Adokiye Amasiemeka Stadium, venue of today’s activity, as well as Le Meridian and Presidential hotel, among other locations where most of the delegates are seen indicate that delegates from North-central geo-political zone may have pledged support for Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
While schemings are still ongoing to woo delegates, it was gathered that both Saraki and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, may have divided delegates from South-east among themselves.
Both Saraki and Atiku are also said to be leading in the quest of aspirants to woo delegates from the Northeastern
