The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled its caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings for Wednesday and Thursday.
Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s National Secretary, issued a notice of postponement on Monday, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for the change in date.
“This is to notify all members of the PDP National Caucus and National Executive Committee that the meetings of the two bodies, previously scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, and Thursday, August 11, 2022, respectively, have been postponed,” he wrote.
“The delay is due to unforeseen circumstances.” In due course, a new date will be announced.
“We deeply regret any inconvenience.” The party has been embroiled in a crisis since former Vice President Atiku Abubakar won the presidential primaries. Ifianyi Okowa, Atiku’s choice for Delta State Governor, is also said to have ruffled some feathers.
