Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau, who represents the Kano Central Senatorial District, has urged his followers to wait patiently while they decide whether to stay with the NNPP or leave.
Shekarau delivered the counsel on Monday in Kano while speaking to his advisory council, which included representatives from the state’s 44 local government areas.
Contrary to the terms of the existing agreement, he claimed that his followers were marginalized within the NNPP.
“We and NNPP came to an arrangement to give my supporters access to various elective seats inside the party.
The former governor of Kano State claimed, “However, the party has failed to accommodate a single person other from the senatorial slot given to me.”
He added that he was not consulted by the party over the destiny of his followers running for office under the party’s program.
Alhaji Umar Doguwa, the party’s chairman, was unable to be reached for comment on the matter.
According to reports, he had turned off his smartphone, and the SMS sent to him had not received a response as of the time of publication.
You might remember that the congressman left the APC in May 2022 and joined the NNPP because he felt marginalized there.
