Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

On Tuesday, unidentified police officers allegedly shot a motorcyclist and drove away with his body.

According to TrackNews, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Olayiwola street, social club junction, Abule Egba, Lagos.

According to a source, the policemen drove the corpse away after the incident.

He explained, “They (police officers) were stoned to get them to leave.”

People lamented the fact that there was still commotion in the area as the publication obtained video evidence showing blood traces on the floor.

When contacted, the division Police Officer for Oko Oba Police Station stated that he did not have the report.

“Did they say the DPO or some cops fired?” “I’m afraid I don’t have the report,” he admitted.

The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, but he had not yet received any details.

Suicide by a Teenage Boy
Ibrahim Lawan, a teenage boy, is said to have hanged himself in Kuki village, Bebeji Local Government Area, Kano State.

According to Nasiru Habu Faragai, the Rano Emirate Public Relations Officer, the district head of Bebeji presented the report of the tragic incident to the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, during the Emirate Council meeting on Monday.

The emir, according to Nasiru, directed that the report be forwarded to the Emirate Council police for a discreet investigation into the cause of death.

When asked about the incident, the PRO revealed that the village head asked the deceased’s father if the boy was involved in drugs or mentally ill.

“The incident alarmed the emir, who asked the district head if the boy was a drug addict.” He also inquired of the father whether he had any mental issues or if they had a grudge against someone, but the father stated that nothing had been done to him. “He also stated that he was not interested in drugs,” Faragai added.
