The Delta State Police Command has killed six suspected kidnappers during a raid on their hideout along the Ughelli-Patani Expressway.

Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe said the July 9 sting operation led to a gun battle, during which six suspects died from injuries and two others were hospitalized.

Officers recovered four locally-made guns and 19 live cartridges from the scene.
