Police rescue kidnapped victim in Delta, recover vehicle, arms, ammunition

TRACKING_____The Police Dragon Patrol Team on stop and search along Ekrerhavwe Community junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State have rescued a kidnapped victim, Ibude Celestine of Okoukoko, who is resident at Okuokoko Community.

The victim was kidnapped in her Lexus Jeep after dropping her kids at School in Okoukoko, DAILY POST can report.

It was learnt that the victim was rescued based on tactical intelligence by the Dragon patrol team in conjunction with Agbarho divisional patrol team as they promptly swung into action and moved to Usiefurun Community Off Ughelli/Warri road.

The victim’s vehicle was sighted by the combined teams.

The Delta State Police Command led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

He said, “The hoodlums on sighting the police abandoned the victim’s Gold coloured Lexus RX 350 Jeep Reg. No. LSD 366 CL, Chassis No. 2T2HK3U08C077223 and their operational vehicle A black coloured Honda Pilot Jeep with registration number Lagos KTU 911EJ, chassis No. 2HKYF18604H541056 and fled into the bush.

“Upon search of the abandoned Honda Pilot Jeep, one Pump Action Gun, Breech No. 870150457 and six (6) live cartridges were recovered.

“The victim and the exhibits have been handed over to Supol Agborho.

An investigation is on to arrest the fleeing suspects.”
