The Lagos Police Command has raised the alarm of a plot to cause post-election violence in the state.

Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin issued the alert Sunday afternoon.

“Available intel suggests some people have concluded plans to foment trouble & wreak havoc,” Hundeyin tweeted.

The spokesperson warned that such attempts would be “crushed decisively”.

“Our election security architecture has not been drawn down. Anarchy will not be allowed!,” he stressed.

Violence occurred in different parts of Lagos during Saturday’s elections as thugs disrupted voting, destroying election materials.
