2022: Ibe Says Atiku Is Ready For Osogbo Over The PDP Gubernatorial Rally
Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,
Paul Ibe, the media assistant to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has claimed that Atiku is set to cut short his European trip to lead the mobilisation of the electorate in a bid to secure the seat for Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP candidate.
The Spokesperson confirmed that Atiku would be in Osogbo, the Osun State capital to lead the grand rally of the opposition party ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
Mr. Ibe told Track News Nigeria that Atiku will also ensure the resolution of all the matters that sprang up following the conclusion of the nomination processes are addressed.
Mr. Ibe said: “Atiku will lead from the front once he arrives to reinvigorate and ensure the resolution of all the issues that arose following the conclusion of the nomination processes and it will all be addressed.”
Following the scuffle rocking the PDP over the choice of Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, our correspondent says that Atiku has been away from Nigeria for almost three weeks now.
Recall our earlier report that Atiku had moved from Dubai to the UK for his Master’s Degree Convocation at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK, scheduled to hold from Monday, 11 July until Friday, 29 July.
Recall that Atiku has been hit severely for his absence at the Ekiti governorship campaign rally which some members linked to the loss of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Bisi Kolawole.
