2023: Malami Buys Lexus, Mercedes Benz, Prado Vehicles For Workers
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has bought operational vehicles for workers at his foundation.
Malami presented the vehicles which consist of Toyota Prado, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz, to the workers at the Khadimiyya for Justice and Development Initiative over the weekend in Kebbi.
The minister, who was represented by a Special Adviser to Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, Yusuf Rasheed, said the vehicles were presented to the workers to allow them to carry out their duties effectively.
He stated that the donation of the vehicles was part of efforts to ensure the foundation carries out the humanitarian activities in communities and at the grassroots.
Among persons who received the vehicles are officials of the foundation, as well as representatives of the Khadi Malami Foundation, another non-governmental organisation (NGO).
Following the development, the donation sparked varied reactions on social media, days after Malami announced his intention to become the next governor of Kebbi State.
On April 28, Malami announced his intention to contest the Kebbi governorship election in the 2023 general election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
