2023: Oshimili North PDP establishes a campaign council.

As they arrived at the PDP Secretariat in Akwukwu-Igbo on Monday for the inauguration of the Oshimili North PDP Campaign Council, the Chief Press Secretary to Delta Governor, Mr Olisa, Ifeajika (left), pointed to something to the Member Representing Oshimili North Constituency in Delta House of Assembly, Princess Pat Ajudua (right).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta’s Oshimili North Local Government Area (LGA) inaugurated its campaign council for the 2023 General Elections on Monday, calling on stakeholders and members to collaborate to ensure the party’s landslide victory in the area.

Mrs Pat State Constituency in the state’s House of Assembly, is the Chairman of the council, which was inaugurated at the party Secretariat in Akwukwu-Igbo by PDP Chairman in the local government area, Chief Nduka Ogwuda.

Ogwuda appointed Chief Patrick Ukah, Secretary to the State Government, as Secretary of the Council and Coordinator of the Campaign Council Management Committee in the local government area.

He stated that the council’s mandate was to deliver all PDP candidates in the 2023 elections and urged all party supporters to work with the team to achieve success.

“Please accept my congratulations on being chosen to lead this difficult task. You were not chosen by chance; you were chosen because of your track record of providing excellent service to the party.

“This election is significant to us because our Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, is on the ballot as our great party’s Vice Presidential Candidate.”

“If we had 60% in previous elections, we need to get 95% now because to whom much is given, much is expected,” he said.

In response, Ajudua stated that the party possesses all of the necessary resources to win local government elections and urged party members to remain committed to the party’s victory.

“We thank God, our party chairman, the party executive, and all members in Oshimili North for their trust in us.”

“Let me assure you that, by the grace of God, we will do everything possible to ensure victory for all of our great party’s candidates.”

“We will work hard with your support and cooperation to deliver massively for Atiku Abubakar, Sheriff Oborevwori, Ned Nwoko, Ndudi Elumelu, and our own, Frank Esenwah,” she said.

In a statement, the party’s House of Assembly candidate in the area, Mr Frank Esenwah, thanked the party for the selection of members of the council and urged them to work tirelessly to root out APC at all levels across the country.

He bemoaned the state of federal roads in the state and urged party members to work hard and contribute their fair share as the party worked to “rescue, reset, and rebuild” the country.

Others who spoke at the ceremony included the SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah; the Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Mrs Kate Onianwa; Dr Austin Obidi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health; Mr Innocent Esewezie, Chairman of the Local Government Council; Mr Olisa Ifeajika, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor; and Professor Andy Egwunyenga, Vice-Chancellor, Delta State University, Abraka.
