2023: Shameful for Buhari to hand over power to opposition party – APC chair, Adamu

Less than 58 days to the forthcoming presidential election, the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu has said it will be humiliating for President Muhammadu Buhari to hand over power to an opposition party in 2023.
Adamu made the statement in an interview with BBC Hausa, claiming Buhari wants APC to win more than any other political party.
The former lawmaker dismissed the criticism alleging that Buhari is withdrawing from campaigning for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, saying it is improper for Buhari to leave his job as president because of the electioneering.
“Anyone who tells you that he wants (APC to) win this election more than Buhari is lying. My reason is that it is a shame for the president to hand over power to a political party that is not his,” he said
