2023: Why Tinubu is right for not honouring invitations for debates – Kalu
Senate Orji Uzor Kalu has said he supports the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for not honouring invitations for presidential debates on national television, saying he (Tinubu) did the right thing.
Senate Kalu also accused some media houses of using presidential debates to insult politicians. He made the statement yesterday in Abuja while speaking to newsmen on presidential debates organised by some media stations ahead of the forthcoming elections in 2023.
Senator Kalu also alleged that some media houses are turning their channels into avenues for insulting politicians in the country.
Kalu said: “Well, let me tell you, they turn it to be an insult. If I were Bola Tinubu, I would not go there (the debate). I don’t pretend; I’m not a politician that pretends.
