2023: Wike Discusses Presidential Candidate To Back
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike is not done fighting for justice and fairness in the Peoples Democratic Party.
On Tuesday, Governor Wike stated that he would soon decide on a presidential candidate to support in the 2023 election.
The Rivers State Governor and his party’s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, have clashed over the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu’s decision to remain in office.
Wike urged residents to vote for party candidates other than the party’s presidential candidate while commissioning the Rukpoku-Rumuapu-Izo-Ogbodo-Ogwuruta project in the State’s Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
He urged Rivers State residents to wait until he revealed who he would support for president.
“You will vote for the party that has done the most for you,” Wike said during the event.
“You already know who you’re voting for: our gubernatorial candidate, House of Representatives candidate, Senate candidate, and House of Assembly candidates.”
“Please vote for those we’ve mentioned so far. We’ll get together soon at our homes to decide where we’ll go for the other one (the presidential election).”
