According to Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, only one North-Central state yet to declare support for Peter Obi in 2023
Datti, Yusuf The Labour Party’s (LP) Vice Presidential candidate, Baba-Ahmed, has dispelled rumors that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, lacks northern support.
During a Channels TV interview on Sunday, Baba-Ahmed stated that, contrary to what political opponents would have Nigerians believe, northerners have accepted Obi and are eager to meet him.
He went on to say that young people, particularly women, are enthusiastic about the Labour Candidate’s plans for them and fully support his ambition.
The LP running mate went on to say that he had gone ahead of Obi to prepare the ground in the north and that the presidential candidate would visit the states when the time was right.
However, Baba-Ahmed stated that the Labour Party and Obi are still working to fully capture Niger State.
“North-central, with the exception of Niger State, which we are currently working on,” he says. The majority of people in north-central are Labour.”
“I’ve demolished all the roadblocks they’ve erected in the north,” he added. It was mostly about the lies they spread about Peter Obi’s character.
“They embrace him up north now that he’s clean and clear.” We visited Kano, Kaduna, and Bauchi, and I traveled to 13 states ahead of him to prepare the ground.
“In particular, northern youth are eager to meet Obi when the time comes.”
