The district heads convened at the palace to pay their respects to Ado Bayero amidst the ongoing struggle for the Kano Emirate throne. This gathering followed a significant event where Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, chaired the inaugural emirate council meeting with district heads and senior traditional council members at the Gidan Rumfa palace….

Despite the prevailing tension surrounding the emirship, over 40 district heads and prominent figures from the senior council reaffirmed their loyalty to Sanusi II.

Upon his arrival at the main palace, these district heads and council members humbled themselves before him, symbolizing their official endorsement of his position as the legitimate Emir of Kano.

Prominent personalities among those who paid their respects included the five kingmakers: Madaki, Wali, Makama, Sarkin Bai, and Sarkin Dawaki Mai tuta. Additionally, individuals such as Waziri, Turaki, Sarkin Shanu, and many others expressed their allegiance to Sanusi II.
