Atiku: PDP presidential team behind Tinubu drug baron allegations – Keyamo
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
The presidential campaign team of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been linked to documents alleging that the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, was involved in drug trafficking and money laundering.
Festus Keyamo, the APC presidential campaign council’s spokesman, claimed that the PDP’s recent trip to the United States, US, was behind the controversial court document allegedly indicting Tinubu.
Keyamo insisted on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday that the US government had never indicted or convicted Tinubu.
Recall that the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, recently led a delegation of his campaign team to the United States.
The team stated during the meeting that Atiku had a high-profile engagement with the US government.
However, Keyamo emphasized that Atiku’s trip to the United States was to blame for the court documents.
He bemoaned the fact that such issues are brought up again and again whenever Tinubu decides to run for political office.
“Tinubu’s detractors will keep bringing up these issues when his political profile is rising, when he wants to run for office, or any political turn in his life,” Keyamo said.
“This is what our detractors, the PDP, may have gone to the US for when they pretended to go for high-level engagement.” This is part of their high-level engagement strategy.”
