‘Bala Mohammed, Fubara Are the best hands For PDP Governors’ Forum Leadership’
A former deputy minority whip of the House of Representatives, Hon Fatima Binta Bello has hailed the emergence of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State as chairman and deputy chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum recently.
Binta who is the former member of the House of Representatives representing Katungo/Shongom federal constituency of Gombe State in a press release issued to journalists yesterday described the election of the duo as a renewed hope for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“The election of Governor Bala and his Rivers State counterpart, Governor Fubara as chairman and deputy of the PDP Governors’ Forum is a good development that happened to the party in recent time.
“They are passionate and committed members of the party and founded on their experience, they will provide a purposeful leadership to the forum and renew hope for the party,” she opined.
The PDP governors elected Mohammed as chairman of its Governors’ Forum, while Fubara emerged as deputy chairman last Saturday.
The election was held at the Bauchi State Government House during the party’s retreat conducted for its newly elected officials.
Governor Bala Mohammed won his second term in the 2023 elections while Fubara was elected after the expiration of the second term of former governor Nyesom Wike.
