Bayelsa Election: INEC debunks manual transmission, commits to IREV
The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, in Bayelsa State, has emphasized it would transmit the November 11th Governorship election results from the polling units via the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IREV).
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Obo Effanga, disclosed this on Tuesday at the Professor Mahmood Yakubu Media Centre, in Yenagoa, at a forum with critical election stakeholders in preparation for the 2023 Governorship Election in Bayelsa State.
Effanga, also said a publication which claimed that INEC will transmit the Governorship election results in the state manually was false, promising that the Commission would deploy the IREV portal for the election.
He further states that the meeting was to provide a platform for the stakeholders to get update on the preparedness of INEC to conduct a transparent and credible Governorship election in the state.
