– He accused the APC of failure

Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki who is a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari cannot lay claim to 12 million votes from the north.

Daily Trust reports that the former minister of special spoke at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, August 29 where he obtained his nomination form.

Turaki who was represented by his campaign director of publicity, Sola Atere, said President Buhari does not have what it takes to garner so many northern votes again.

He said: “And if you look at a lot of the projects they are laying claim to, they were established by the PDP. This is a government that has been making mistakes at every point in time. Nigerians know all these things. The so-called 12 million voters they are laying claim to would have been reduced.

“Because if you look at the economic situation, where people are complaining that they cannot even have one square meal, how do you expect them to come out and aggravate votes up to 12 million for somebody who has been the architect of their misfortune?”

Babangida said Turaki’s presidential agenda is capable of redeeming Nigeria.

The former head of state said Nigeria has been so divided that he thinks if given the chance, Turaki drive the country into witnessing tremendous development strides.
