Ex- APC chairman, hundreds of party supporters join PDP in Abia
Some Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) including the executive committee members of the party in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia south senatorial district of Abia State have defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
The defectors were led into the Abia chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party by a former zonal chairman of the APC, Orji Chikezirim and the ex-APC woman leader, Mrs Adaku Abel all of Abia south, alongside local government area executives of the APC.
The defectors joined the party during the flag-off of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s senatorial bid campaign at the weekend.
The former Abia south zonal chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Orji Chikezirim claimed Ikpeazu’s successes led to the defections.
Receiving the decampees on behalf of the Abia chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ibe Nwadioha assured the new party members of equal rights and privileges
