Faleke Speaks On Getting Directive From President Tinubu To Compile Fresh List For Board Appointments
The member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke has denied getting a directive from President Bola Tinubu to compile a new list of persons for appointment as board members of government agencies and parastatals.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman House Committee on Finance made the denial in a post via his Twitter account on Sunday.
According to Faleke, there is no truth in certain reports claiming President Tinubu rejected a list of board members submitted to him by some aides and ordered him to compile a fresh list of All Progressives Congress (APC) members who worked for his victory.
He ascribed the rumour in circulation to that effect as the handwork of mischief makers and warned the public to ignore the rumours.
“There has been a fake news being circulated by mischief makers about a list that President Tinubu rejected. It is said to be the list of board members submitted to him by top presidential aids and that he had redirected me to reassemble the list to meet APC members that worked for his victory in the recent presidential election. It is not true please, kindly disregard. Thank you,” the APC chieftain tweeted in a personally signed statement.
