Ganduje’s Challenges Mount as North Central Stakeholders Push for APC Chairmanship

Stakeholders from the North Central region within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are stepping up efforts to secure the national chairmanship positions in the party.

This move comes after the party’s decision to zone the chairmanship seat to the North Central ahead of the 2023 elections.

However, tensions arose following the resignation of Abdullahi Adamu, from Nasarawa State in the North Central, last year.

Sources within the APC disclosed to Leadership that the exclusion of the North Central from the chairmanship seat has led to discontent among some members from the region.

While the leaders have maintained composure out of deference to the president, there is a growing momentum among them to address the situation.

Salihu Lukman, the former national vice chairman of the APC, has recently called for the national chairmanship seat to be returned to the North Central, a move that has garnered significant support from party leaders in the zone.
