Hardship: 8 LP Lawmakers In Anambra Assembly Donate 6 Months Salaries

The Labour Party (LP) lawmakers in the Anambra State House of Assembly have donated their six months’ basic salary to cushion the suffering of the people.
The lawmakers numbering eight in a briefing on Thursday in Awka said the donation, which was not specified, was part of their contribution to alleviate the suffering of the masses.

The spokesman of the group, Jude Ifeanyi Umennajiego, representing Onitsha South II, called on the federal and state governments to suspend work on all other sectors, including infrastructure, for the next six months and declare a state of emergency on security and hunger in the nation.
