Hon. Michael Magbisa Resumes office as Commissioner Special Duties Bayelsa West

Hon Michael Magbisa, Commissioner for Special Duties, Bayelsa West has resumed office today following his appointment and designation to the ministry of Special Duties (Bayelsa West) by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State on the 29th of April, 2024.

Mr. Magbisa was received by Heads of the Ministry led by Mrs. Linda Yeri, Acting Permanent Secretary, Men, Women and Youth leaders from Bayelsa West.

Hon. Christiana Ebbeli, a former Commissioner, Special Duties and currently, State PDP Woman Leader who led the Bayelsa West women delegation to receive the new Commissioner as he resumes office, urged him to work with staff of the office and stakeholders of the Senatorial District in the bid to achieve great feats in the office.

She thanked him for his quality representation at his previous office as the State PDP Vice Chairman (Bayelsa West Senatorial District) expressing her confidence in his ability to deliver in his duties in his new office.

Mr. Magbisa thanked them for the warm reception and assured all that he will work hand in gloves with the prosperity government, staff of the ministry and stakeholders and members of Bayelsa West to bring the dividends of democracy to the people.

He thanked God Almighty for giving him the grace and privilege to be appointed into the prosperity government of Senator Douye Diri as Commissioner.

He also appreciated His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, for finding him worthy to serve as the Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties (Bayelsa West) while restating his commitment to deliver quality service to the government, to the people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District and people of Bayelsa State.

As part of his resumption activities, the Commissioner gave out gifts (wrapper) to the Bayelsa West women delegation that accompanied him to his office. he was also conducted on a familiarization tour round departments and offices in the Ministry by the acting Permanent Secretary.

Mr. Magbisa also met with stakeholders and members of Sagbama and Ekeremor at his office who came to visit him on his first day at his office.

They felicitated him and assured him of their support in delivery the dividends of democracy to the people.

Also present at the reception were Hon. Agari James a former Commissioner Special Duties Bayelsa West, Chief Aladei Agwa, Chief Oyinkuro Bekeowei, Hon. Gboloseri Timipre Samuel, among others.
