How Some ” Agberos ” In Lagos Reacted When I Spoke About Jobs In Their Presence- LP Gov. Candidate
A video of Lagos state’s Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, discussing his plans and interaction with touts or “Agberos” in the state has surfaced online. In the video, Gbadebo stated that whenever he interacts with them, all he sees is that the government has failed them.
During the interview, Gbadebo recalled offering some touts jobs to see their reaction. He discovered that they were very calm and interested in the job offers. When asked what he would do to the “agberos” in Lagos state if elected governor, he expressed sympathy towards them and shared his experience with some touts in Alimosho.
According to him, he spoke to some of them and offered them jobs to leave the streets. He observed that one of them was a graduate of Unilag, another from Nsukka, and another was a father with a wife and child.
Despite their qualifications and family responsibilities, they were still on the street. This highlights the need for job creation and opportunities to help people who have been failed by the government
