I am also from the North, I will defeat Buhari in 2019 – PDP presidential aspirant boasts
Alhaji Sule Lamido, a former Jigawa state governor, has said that if he secures the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential ticket, he will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
He made the comment during an address at the Nasarawa state working committee of the party in Lafia on Thursday, August 30, Daily Trust reports.
TRACKNEWS. NG gathers that Lamido pointed out that he is also from the North, and asserted that he has more to offer to reposition Nigeria, than Buhari.
He said that he had an understanding of the challenges facing Nigeria, and their solutions, having served the party and country in various capacities.
Lamido also berated the All Progressives Congress (APC); saying that the ruling party thrived on falsehood and demonising perceived opposition. He also stressed the need to restructure Nigeria.
Meanwhile, TRACKNEWS. NG previously reported that Alhaji Sule Lamido said he will not leave the PDP, even if he loses the party’s primaries for the presidential race.
Lamido said this at the residence of General Jeremiah Useni, during a solidarity visit in Jos on Wednesday, August 29.
