I will right the wrongs and clean up the mess left by the previous administration – Adeleke
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has promised to right the wrongs committed by the Gboyega Oyetola administration.
In his inaugural speech at the Osogbo-city stadium on Sunday, Governor Adeleke promised to address all wrong policies and corruption acts committed by the previous administration.
As he took over as governor, the governor assured the state’s people that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government would live up to their expectations.
He promised that his administration will address and solve the state’s problems of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and poor infrastructure with urgency, transparency, justice, and innovation.
“As Governor and Chief Security Officer of Osun State, I am well aware that my responsibility includes meeting the legitimate expectations of our people,” he said.
“As a result, I pledge that, by the grace of God and everyone’s cooperation, the expectations of workers, traders, artisans, farmers, business owners, students, pensioners, traditional and religious leaders, and indeed all residents of Osun State will be met.”
As Governor of Osun State, I will boldly correct any previous administration’s past injustices, corrupt acts, or policies that are detrimental to our people’s collective interests.
“Let me state unequivocally that education, health, the mining sector, agriculture, road infrastructure, and portable water supply will no longer be business as usual.” And, once again, things are not as usual.
“Our administration will demonstrate a high sense of urgency, transparency, justice, and innovation to address and solve the problems of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and poor infrastructure.”
“Your Governor will be a people’s governor.” I will be accessible, responsive, consultative, and proactive in dealing with small and large issues of state governance.”
