METRO: Sorrow As Abuja Traditional Ruler Gets Abducted By Unknown Gunmen

Track News Nigeria reports that some unknown gunmen, about 15, have kidnapped Isiaka Dauda, the District Head of Kuchibuyi Byazhin ward, Bwari Area council Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Track News Nigeria gathered that the popular ruler was kidnapped on the wee hours of Sunday at his private residence near the palace.

When reached, ACP Muhammad Ndagi who is the Area Commander in Kubwa, confirmed the incident to Track News Nigeria, adding that investigation has been set on sail for the ugly occurrence.

Recall that some residents of Abuja marched to the streets in March to protest unceasing insurgency, this resulted to blocking the Kuje-Gwagwalada road.

Some of them set bonfires on the road and carried placards with several inscriptions, such as “Government should provide security for Chukuku community”; “We need security in Chukuku community,” among others, to press home their demands.

They also chanted “Muna bukatar tsaro” meaning; “We need security.”

Motorists on both sides of the road, those coming into Kuje and those going out of the metropolis, were stranded for the period of the protest.
