The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued and presented the certificate of return to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke on this day July 20th.

Recall our earlier report that Sen. Adeleke under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party had earlier won the Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Osun State.

Track News Nigeria learnt that that certificate is presented to the Governor and his Deputy Kola Adewusi by Prof.

Before this time, Davido has earlier challenged the electoral body as reported by Track News Nigeria hours ago. Our Correspondent says the vibrant composer is a nephew to the Governor.

Adeleke polled 403, 371 votes to defeat Oyetola who gathered 375, 027 votes.

The governor-elect while accepting the certificate at a brief ceremony held at Osun INEC head office in Osogbo, dedicated his victory in the governorship election to the memory of his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke and the people of the state.

This is coming a few hours after the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure ruled in favour of Adeleke as the candidate of the PDP.

Recall that Dotun Babayemi had contested in the PDP governorship primaries and put before the court to challenge the validity of the primaries conducted by the national leadership that produced Sen Adeleke as the party’s candidate.
